The ME406P is an automatic portable version of the ME406. It includes a removable wrap-around auxilliary flex antenna, which allows the ELT to be disconnected from the installed aerial antenna (rod antenna included). Once the ELT has been removed from the aircraft the flexible antenna can be attached and the distress call is again transmitted with full signal strength to reach the COSPAS-SARSAT satellites. Although Search and Rescue authorities recommend to remain in close proximity to the aircraft, using the ME406P in it's portable version enables those waiting for the Search and Rescue crews to be better sheltered from the environment. The ME406P is a single output ELT, two emergency frequencies (121.5 and 406MHz) utilize the same RF output, which requires only one coax cable to connect the new series of Artex single input antennas. The ELT automatically activates during a crash. The mounting hardware for the ME406P is compatible with all previous models of Artex 406 KHz, as well as the ELT200 series, Pointer Model 3000 and Narco ELTs. This package contains the ELT, tray, switch, and auxillary rod antenna. **** Please Note: This item is subject to a £35.00 minimum Hazardous Shipping Charge****
